On Thanksgiving night, a young Latina woman confesses to her family that she posts sexy videos online.

``Working From Home`` was selected as one of the top projects for the class of 2023 and has received a completion grant in which it's entire festival run will be sponsored by the Savannah College of Art and Design.

THE INSPIRATION

If my upbringing in a Latin household taught me anything, it's that there is no such thing as secrets.

I had a variety of clients with whom I worked with in my freelance photography and videography business. Many of them were businesswomen who would often post advice and share their stories on how they became so successful. During the pandemic though, many of these clients realized they could make an income off sharing their road to success. This led them to switching to a subscription based platform called ``Only Fans,`` a popular app in the porn industry where creators were free to post uncensored content that viewers could subscribe to. I thought this was genius.

I loved the idea of a young, Latina woman who was a businesswoman that also secretly enjoyed the thrill and intimacy of her job. I loved that because she enjoyed the intimacy, it didn't make her any less successful- in fact, it was quite the opposite. Anita, our lead character, allows her sexuality to make her more successful. Sexuality and intimacy were two very ``taboo`` topics in my upbringing, and I knew it was the same for many of my Latin friends. I wanted this film to help encourage more open conversations within the Latin community in a funny and refreshing manner. I wanted to put things in perspective for older generations like our parents- does it really matter if your daughter is performing her job in lingerie if she is still successful and most importantly, happy?

My favorite part of this story is the authenticity in our cast. Their performances constantly keep audiences and viewers on their toes.
